Operating in Huntsville since 1963, UCP Huntsville’s Children’s Therapy Services (CTS) provides physical, occupational, and speech therapies for children birth to 18 years.
We evaluate and treat more than 180 different diagnoses, disorders, and disabilities at our centrally located clinic.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Our physical therapists evaluate gross motor development/skills, gait, and balance. We provide individualized care plans to address any impairments in these areas and also make orthotic and equipment recommendations. We also specialize in using the Lite Gate body weight support system for children of all ages.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Our occupational therapists provide custom assessments of self-care, general development, and school readiness. We can also create custom upper extremity splints in office as well as provide equipment trials and recommendations.
SPEECH THERAPY
Our speech therapists provide assessments and treatment in the areas of speech/articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and social communication. We also utilize assistive technology and/or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) as part of therapy.
FEEDING THERAPY
UCP Huntsville launched the Happy Eaters Feeding Clinic in Fall 2024 to meet the needs of children with feeding difficulties who specifically require feeding therapy to establish safe and healthy eating patterns to improve nutritional intake and decrease caregiver burden. The goal of UCP Huntsville’s multidisciplinary pediatric team is to enable children with special needs to gain essential eating skills and support their parents throughout the process.
