The Parents as Teachers (PAT) program provides information, support, and encouragement to parents in need.
PAT serves families with children from birth to age five by:
- Increasing the parents’ knowledge of early childhood development
- Improving parenting practices
- Preventing child abuse
- Preparing children for school success
PAT Educators teach parents the skills needed to help their children develop optimally during the critical, formative years of life by doing in-home, monthly visitations.
This program is a champion for early intervention and parental involvement
and serves as a unified voice for early childhood education and healthy child development.
PAT also program supports a parent’s role in promoting school readiness and healthy development of children.
